To adjust your Stripe Payment Options, including setting up Pre-Authorized or ChargeNow payments for web bookings, go into Booking Pages > Select a Booking Page > Select Settings on the left hand menu > Select Stripe Payment Options.
STEP 1: In order adjust the Stripe Payment Options on a booking page, you must first have steps A and B completed:
A) In your booking page, ensure you have the Stripe payment option selected. Make sure to select the "Booking Page Calendar Selection (displaying real time availability)" and save in your Booking page.
B) Make sure to have Stripe enabled and connected to your account. Click Here for an article on how to connect your Stripe account.
If you do not have Stripe enabled, once you click on Stripe Payment Options you will see a message like the one below, cautioning you to connect to Stripe.
STEP 2: Adjusting your Stripe Payment Options
Set your web bookings in your Stripe Payment Options to either charge a Pre-Authorization charge, or a ChargeNow charge.
When a customer checks out from a web booking, a Pre-Authorized booking will:
Put a hold on your customer's credit card for the Full Amount or a Fixed amount you configure. This will be processed only once the booking is marked as completed.
When a customer checks out from a web booking, a ChargeNow booking will:
Automatically charge your customer's credit card for the Full Amount or a Fixed amount you configure, transferring the funds to your account immediately.
What is the "Full amount"?
The full amount is the full balance, or total, of the booking charge.
What is a "Fixed amount"?
A fixed amount is a deposit which is paid immediately by the customer as an act of good faith toward the total charge. You can adjust the Fixed amount to any you choose.
